BOTOX

Botox is made from a neurotoxin called botulinum toxin which is produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. Cosmetically, it is used in anti-aging treatments and to treat conditions like Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and Migraines. All it does is that it paralyzes muscles by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles where it is injected. The effect usually shows up 2-7 days after the treatment and lasts for 3 to 4 months. Eventually, the muscle grows new receptors and gets back to normal. There is NO damage caused to your nerve. It is commonly used to treat forehead lines, crow’s feet (lines around the eyes) and frown lines.

Botox is one of the most popular cosmetic treatments. It is done mainly to erase lines and ease deep expression lines in aesthetics. Here are a few uses of Botox –

What is the procedure like?

The skill of the injecting doctor is what guarantees a desirable aesthetic outcome and avoids unwanted effects. At Ra, a personal assessment is done by Dr. Rashmi for each of her clients. Post which a numbing Botox cream is applied on the area which has to be injected after cleaning it. Then after a 45-minute wait during which the Ra team will pamper you and help you relax, Dr. Rashmi injects the protein into pre-decided muscles with the tiniest possible needle. This may take 15 minutes or less and post which you are good to go.
